Today, as I fervently prayed for you, a powerful revelation came to me. I saw something that has been giving you a false sense of hope, leading only to disappointment time and time again. No matter how hard you try, success seems just out of reach, leaving you frustrated and heartbroken. This relentless cycle of disappointment is not just a coincidence; it is a spiritual attack designed to break your spirit and make you give up on your dreams.
In Mark 11:12-14, we read about Jesus cursing a fig tree that bore no fruit despite its appearance. “The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, ‘May no one ever eat fruit from you again.’ And his disciples heard him say it.” The Lord has revealed to me that a similar issue has been plaguing your life. This persistent disappointment is the enemy’s attempt to wear you down until you give up. But today, that spirit has been exposed and will be defeated.
I had a vision of a beautiful tree representing your life. From a distance, it appeared full of promise, but as I drew closer, the fruit that seemed so appealing suddenly disappeared. This vision revealed the spirit of false hope at work in your life, promising success, happiness, and breakthroughs only to snatch them away at the last moment. But today, in the name of Jesus, I command every spirit of false hope to wither from its roots.
Consider the story of a woman in our sanctuary who has been on a waiting list for a home for over a decade. Each time her turn came, a jealous handler denied her the beautiful home she deserved, offering none and sending her back to the waiting list. This endless cycle of false hope ends today. Just as Jesus cursed the fig tree, I command every source of disappointment in your life to dry up and wither.
Mark 11:20 tells us the fig tree withered from the roots the next morning. “In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.” I feel a strong spiritual prompting that within the next 24 hours, you will experience a noticeable change. Every source of disappointment must dry up and die. This is a divine appointment for your breakthrough, a moment that God has ordained to transform your life.
